Meet The BNP Paribas International Hackathon Winners: Smovin
Between 9 and 11 June 114 startups competed in ten cities around the world for the BNP Paribas International Hackathon. Smovin took part in this one weekend adventure and left with the 1st price!
We proudly introduce Smovin, a company helping professionals and individuals to manage their properties online. The idea comes from Michael Philippart de Foy (Co-founder and CEO) who wanted to launch his own startup. He realised that the same difficulties arose when managing several properties. Jim Hees (Co-founder and Business Developer) joined the project soon after and they were officially launched in February 2016. Arnaud Goubau (Business Developer) joined the team one month ago.
Smovin does all the follow up in the rental management: they take care of the payments issues, charges, indexations and lease contract reminders. They spare extra stress, costs and time to the owners. They take care of the entire tenant cycle from the moment they sign their contract to the moment where they leave the apartment. The system is based as a todo oriented solution. Giving the choice to the user to decide what to do when specific situations arise. At the moment updates are given by email and the tasks are done through the web platform.
In terms of clients, Smovin managed to secure 100 properties on their platform, working closely with the BNP Paribas private banking customers as well. According to BNP Paribas Fortis, “Smovin, le meilleur ami des propriétaires”.
Launching the project with Startup Factory, winning the BNP Paribas International Hackathon, working with BNP Paribas and working at Co.Station Brussels…Smovin is definitely (S)movin’ forward!
